Solstice is one of Mankato's major summer events. The schedule is full of local and regional musicians, artists, crafts and food vendors, plus a family activities area filled with toys and fun from History Fest (a local event where school children and the public get hands-on experiences with periods in history). Benefits from this event will go to History Fest. Solstice is appropriate for ALL ages and interests.

History Fest began ten years ago as a DREAM. In 2004 we went back to the McGowan Farm where you will find more history than ever! The idea is to make history "COME ALIVE" for the children of the Mankato area who are in fourth through sixth grade.
